group therapy

The Women’s Inner Wisdom Groups are based on the IFS (Internal Family System) model. There will be a hybrid approach of introducing core concepts of parts work, using it to explore and make sense of your own inner ecosystem, having parts be witnessed and affirmed by others in the group, and practicing using your self energy to witness other participant’s parts as well. Inner change creates changes in your life and then the world!

***NEW IN-PERSON GROUP FORMING - January 2025***

In-person Group

Maximum of 4 members

Two Friday Mornings and One Saturday Afternoon/Month

Starting January 10th 2025

5 month/15 session commitment

Group Fee Structure (Sliding Scale: $95–$150 per 2 hour session)

Tier 1: $95–$120
For individuals who identify with one or more marginalized communities, including LGBTQ+ folks, immigrants or refugees, BIPOC individuals, those experiencing income or food insecurity, or students receiving financial aid without the safety net of generational wealth.

Tier 2: $120–$140
For individuals who experience areas of privilege and have used that privilege to promote equity, inclusion, and well-being in their communities, even when doing so may come at a personal or professional cost. This tier also applies to students who have access to financial support or generational wealth.

Tier 3: $140–$150
For individuals who identify as financially privileged and wish to help increase access to therapy for others by supporting reduced-fee options for participants in Tier 1.

Group work is therapeutic, but it is not the same as individual therapy. Work with your parts will be facilitated in group but you may want the focused time and safety of an individual session to go deeper with vulnerable parts.

For this reason, all group members will have access to one reduced fee of $150 (full price is $185) individual session with me per month to work more deeply with parts that you have discovered and befriended during group. This is optional and not required to be a part of the group.

Why is this group more expensive than other process groups?

My in-person therapy groups are smaller than most with 4 participants rather than 6-10. Due to the intimate nature of Internal Family Systems, a smaller group size is helpful for safely engaging in deep personal work. Many groups make up for the lower cost with volume of participants. This group remains small to promote a place for you to experience safe vulnerability.

Application Process

If you are interested in the group, please hit the yellow “Apply Here to Join a Group” button above. I will contact you to schedule an interview. The interview is a free phone conversation to determine goodness of fit with the model and with others in the group.

If it feels like you might be a good fit for the group we will schedule an appointment at a reduced rate of $150. I want to get to know you better. I also want to give you a chance to experience IFS work in an embodied way and feel out how I work.

*There are times in the healing journey that individual therapy would be more productive than group work or having individual therapy concomitant with group work is indicated for your system’s safety. This will be part of our discussion during our phone interview and also the initial session. Half of interested group members will have more than one introductory session to prepare them for the intensity and also the reward of the group experience.

*If you are not chosen for the group it does not reflect on your goodness or value as a person. Groups that work well are calibrated for personalities and interests and sometimes those variables are outside of your control.

Dates and Payment Schedule

You will be asked to reserve your place with January’s fee.

Your monthly dues are based on the number of sessions scheduled for that month and are due on the first of the month.

Fees are non refundable.

Missed sessions will not be refunded
