Interpersonal Neurobiology

Interpersonal Neurobiology conceptualizes human development as an interplay between mind, body, and relationships.  As this interaction unfolds during life experiences, especially with our primary caretakers during development, neural pathways are being laid down and subsequently rehearsed through repeated behaviors or thoughts. This is how you become “wired” a certain way.

The plasticity of the brain allows for this wiring of neural pathways to be reworked through novel thoughts and behaviors, and subsequent rehearsal. We can create new potential for change and personal growth.

Together we follow the neural network through associations in your mind and body to get to the core of your beliefs and source of your suffering so that we can activate change. Integration is at the core of this theory and is seen as essential to happy and healthy selves, families, and communities.
